The 7 Sins

The story begins with the awakening of Akutagawa Kilika in a cavern-type room along with other 6 people around her. Not long a bunch of hooded figures appeared and one of them stepped forward and explained the situation."We are the Overseers, being that is higher than humans."Kilika asked whether the overseers are gods and would that make the seven of them who became overseers, gods, as well. The answer is no, they were just one level above humans who possessed supernatural abilities."We Overseers had been watching over humans to make sure the world did not turn into chaos. We are the balance and we are the overseers of their sins, henceforth we are called the overseers."The Overseers then explained the embodiment of the 7 deadly sins which took the form of 7 different objects, the regalias. Regalia is a core power that had absorbed an abundant amount of sins unleashed by humans which gave anyone who possessed them, the incredible power that was also unique each on their own.The Overseers gave the regalias to 7 different people which contained unimaginable power that grew stronger and stronger for each generation of the 7 bearers of the Regalias.The 7 newborn Overseers' task was to use their power to influence the world to make sure that the world will not turn into chaos. Becoming Overseers meant that they will lose their freedom and would live eternally to serve the other overseers and the earth.Aside from making individual judgments to use their power on earth, they are also obligated to eliminate Kegare by defeating them and absorbing them into the regalia planted inside their body.The overseers told the seven that they had to show excellent results and they would be eliminated if their results on earth were not satisfying. The overseers will not hesitate to create second generations of the Seven Sins if they were to be disappointingThe Overseers then told them that each of them had been assigned with their own sins and thus received 2 different powers and abilities.The first power is the unique power that would awaken upon becoming one with one of the Sin's regalia. The power they received would be far greater than any of the previous seven because it also contained the power of the previous regalia's owner.The second power is the Sin Authority, a unique power that is related to the sins they designated with.After receiving the regalia and the authority, the other sins were sent into their own respective room in the realm of the overseers before being sent to earth.The leader of the overseers who called himself The Majesty, spoke exclusively to Kilika about their expectation of the new generation and to always be cautious of the enemies.Kilika asked what would be able to oppose them with all the powers they had and The Majesty said that sometimes the sins of humans were too much for the regalia to hold and there were many of those sins embodied independently, turning into another being simply mentioned as Filth or Kegare.Kegare would be able to attach itself to humans and corrupting them and then led them to sin, even more, birthing more Kegares. Basically, the job of the 7 was to make get rid of as much as Kegare as possible by absorbing them into their regalia.
Kilika understood the situation and then bid The Majesty goodbye as she was returned to her chamber in the Overseer's realm.The Seven met once again in their designated domain. They were allowed to rest for 1 day before getting sent to earth. Kilika then explained the situation to the other 6 which each of them responded differently.One of them, in particular, did not like the idea of a weak girl like Kilika leading them and told them what to do and attack Kilika using their power. However, due to the authority that Kilika had, the power was nullified and Kilika won easily."Anyone else had something to say?"After the demonstration of her authority, Kilika started to tell the rest of them about the situation they were in. Due to her Pride, she was in a dilemma whether she would actually do what the Overseer asked her for life."They make us work to the bone for eternity and will kill us when they sense failure, disposing of us like garbage. Why would we serve people like that? Wouldn't it make more sense to stand on our own and do the Kegare cleaning however we want whenever we want?"The other sins agreed with her but did not know how to achieve that. Kilika being the prideful and bold person she was, decided to sneak into The Majesty's chamber.The Majesty who had already sense rebellion within her told her that he had been expecting her and about to kill her with his overwhelming power.
However, it seemed that the thing about the Overseers not being a God was right and Kilika was able to use her authority over The Majesty, nullify his power, and killed him mercilessly.What was funny was the fact that when she killed The Majesty, Kilika had absorbed The Majesty's power unknowingly, making her at that time, the strongest Overseer existed?Without the existence of The Majesty, the strongest Overseer existed, the overseer had no power against the seven individually but if they were somehow united, it would be troublesome.Kilika took the other six out of the Overseers realm and leaped into the space tunnel which unintentionally separated her from the other sins.Kilika arrived at a familiar mountainous area without anyone around her. When she explored it, she realized that it was the Akaishi mountain, however, everything had already changed.

Akutagawa Sisters

The Akutagawa Family is a large family of martial artists who invented and taught the Akutagawa-style martial arts in the Akutagawa-Style school to anyone who wanted to learn. They lived in what now known as the Akaishi mountains.The Akutagawa head has 2 daughters, he was not blessed by a single son to inherit the dojo and the school but stay positive and decided to teach his 2 daughters about the Akutagawa style.He was delighted when both her daughters, one of them is 2 years older than the other but somehow born on the same day, has great talent in the arts.The older one named Simca, she is a responsible and serious girl who learned the Akutagawa style with full dedication but at the same time she also learned a lot about the outer world.The younger one named Kilika is very carefree, cheerful but extremely lazy. He got scolded a lot, get punished a lot, and is treated harsher by her father. Despite her laziness, she is considered more talented than Simca hence she mastered everything Simca can with less effort.The two, however, never really bear any dislikes or hatred toward each other. Simca never really gets jealous of how Kilika effortlessly mastered many things and Kilika also never gets jealous of how Simca is clearly the golden child of her father.When the two of them were already of age, their father decided that the one who will inherit the school is Simca which is something everyone has already seen. Kilika who no longer feels like she is tied to the place decided to leave the mountain despite her sister's plead to stay.
Kilika travels the word, defeating and taking down as many martial art schools for years. She is soon known as the Unrivaled Tyrant as she is never defeated in a fair battle, one on one.Kilika returned to the mountain about 7 years later, discovering that her father had already passed away due to illness and their mother disappeared one day without a trace. Simca had been carrying the school on her shoulders for more than 3 years and when her sister returned, she challenged her into a duel.Quite surprisingly, Kilika was defeated by Simca but then the latter found out that she won only because Kilika held back and grew frustrated by it. During Kilika's stay, Simca acted cold to her and she did not know why.One day she confronted her sister and asked about everything and Simca said that her existence is a burden for her and ever since she left the mountain, Simca had endured so many trials.Kilika apologized but then Simca ran away to the mountain, crying. Kilika went after her, not knowing that there is a camp full of bandits at that moment. When Kilika arrived at her sister's location, she was already on the brink of death after being raped and abused by more than 20 men.Kilika was enraged, she awakens something inside her that made her went blind in a rage. When she came to, she saw her hands in blood and the pile of corpses around her. She took her sister back to the school and have the people there take care of her.Simca's life was saved but she never becomes the same person after that. Kilika kept apologizing to her to the point of sobbing but Simca never answered.During the 7th day after that incident, Simca's life came to an end. Everyone expected Kilika to replace her as the head of the house but Kilika refused. She said that it all happened because of her so she won't inherit something that would make Simca mad.During that time, Kilika spent years traveling the world. She learned about dark arts, sorcery, and everything related to the soul of a living being.At the age of 25, she returned to Simca's grave and conducted a forbidden ritual. Her first intention was to summon the soul of her deceased sister and traded her soul with hers. Her sister will live again but she will not.She met an apparition of a God who warned her that there will be a massive price to pay for such an arrogant act. Humans were never allowed to revive the dead and to do so is to defy the law of nature and God.Kilika said that she did not care about God's bullshit and she gets to decide what she did in her life.
She ignored the apparition and conducted the ritual anyway and she succeeded.For a moment, Akutagawa Simca was alive in her body, however, Kilika's soul never left the body. Two sisters for a moment live on that body but then as Simca managed to get a hold of herself, she threw herself off a cliff, ultimately ending the life of the two.Separated by the time tunnel, Akutagawa Kilika descended back to earth. Kilika recognized the sight and the smell and was determined that the place was actually Akaishi mountainKilika arrived back at Akaishi Mountain but when she traveled to what she recognized as the Akutagawa Clan residence, everything was in chaos.She did not know what year it was and it might have been a hundred years after her death but all the destruction was relatively new. When she entered the gate toward the ruins of her home, her whole surrounding suddenly changed. She was teleported or sent into an illusion to a place that was Akutagawa's residence during its golden times. Confused about what happened, a voice greeted her from behind.It was a calm nostalgic voice that made her shed a tear upon hearing it. The figure of an almost identical person of herself but more mature looking was standing behind her. Kilika knew it was supposed to be impossible but as she ran toward Simca, about to hug her, Simca made it clear that their reunion was not a happy one as she taps her foot and created a barrier between them.Simca said that she did not call her in that place as her sister but as a fellow fighter. Kilika did not understand what she meant, she also demanded to know why Simca killed herself when she gave her a new life.Simca bitterly answered that she never wished to be revived and she wouldn't certainly be able to live normally inside her body, the simple thought of it disgusted her.Kilika was dumbstruck, in tears she asked what made Simca resented her so much which Simca simply replied that she hated Kilika and her selfishness. She hated the fact that she left the mountain, burdening everything to her and live freely. She hated the fact that while Kilika was able to enjoy her life to the fullest, she was forced to stay in the quiet mountain and live her life as the head of the Akutagawa clan.She wanted to be free but she could not, it was even more frustrating when even after everything, she still pales in comparison to her younger sister."Do you have any idea how painful it is to see you live your life with everything that revolves around you? Do you know how I feel becoming a shadow of your greatness which everyone kept talking about even when I am there doing my best to satisfy the family?"For the first time, Kilika was unable to speak anything, she did not know about all that, she never knew how Simca really felt. Simca ended her story and said that she did not pull her inside her Domain of Serenity to talk. She wanted to fight her, to fight her sister with everything she got. Inside the domain, Kilika could not use her power as an Overseer, it would be a fight like the old days.Simca said that there are things that can only be solved with their fist alone and the two of them fought with everything they got. The battle ended several minutes after a mysterious rain poured down the mountain as Simca was left lying on the ground."In the end . . . . . I never been able to out best you even once . . . . "Kilika could not mutter any word of consolation but then Simca stood and for the first time she smiled. She said that her burden had been lifted and she at least get to punch Kilika's face several times.The two sisters hugged as Kilika cried in Simca's shoulder, apologizing over and over while Simca gently rubbed her hair while saying that it would all be alright from then on." We will be together from now on, always, whether you like it or not . . . . possibly for eternity. "Simca explained about her power, Domain of Serenity. She explained she had always been there the moment Kilika woke up but was reluctant to call her out. When she released Kilika from her power, Kilika found herself on the ruins of her home. Simca whispered in her mind that quite possibly, she was separated from the other sins not just by location but by time as well. There is a possibility that the other sins were not even on earth just yet.Kilika confirmed Simca's theory by using her new power upon absorbing His Majesty and said that it was true that there was no sign of those six on earth at that time, however, there are many Overseers scattering about the earth. Simca asked Kilika whether she was going to kill them and Kilika answered that the Overseer's existence exceeds beyond time and they probably already knew about the new 7 Deadly Sins betrayal.With that in mind, Kilika along with Simca started their journey in eliminating Overseers across the time.

Across the Years

The year is 1645 and it was the beginning of Kilika Akutagawa's second life along with her sister, Simca Akutagawa. Kilika was blessed with incredible powers which she mastered in no time. She became stronger physically and mentally, her regalia was a bit more difficult to control, it required incredible focus on controlling her blood, however, she had all the time in the world to practice.One problem that she had seemed to occur was the fact that she was unable to kill humans. She did not know why but something was preventing her from finishing off a human and could only give a non-fatal injury at best.Simca theorized that it was the effect of absorbing His Majesty who seemed to value humans very much. In his death, he was able to do one or two things to Kilika and that curse of not being able to kill humans seemed to be one of them. She also somewhat lost the desire to dominate humanity even though she was more capable to do so hence the reason why she no longer desire to become the strongest by killing others.She visited the places that helped her grew from afar including the schools where she learned many martial arts but could not bring herself to meet anyone there.She also visited the house of that kind man who saved her life once a time but he was no longer there.Kilika became empty, she could not felt anything but nothingness. Even with Simca trying to drive her, she could not find any meaning in life any longer. She surrendered her body to Simca and said that she would only switch when there was enemy existed.For years, Kilika Akutagawa became an empty Kegare killing machine who occasionally killed Overseers who aimed at her life for years. However one day, something changed as a new kid of enemy approached the two. A letter of challenge was given to the Akutagawa sisters and The Overseer regarded himself as Dagon and claimed that he had taken the whole city of Osaka as a hostage.Kilika felt thrill she never felt before as she went to Osaka and found the city to be a large=scale of traps. Endless Kegare and Omen were waiting for her, traps that could end the life of an ordinary overseers, weapon that was too advance for such timeline and such were prepared by the man called Dagon. Eventually with a lot of hardwork, Kilika managed to push on and met Dagon. The man claimed to be the member of Round Table, a group of strongest overseers second to His Majesty. He claimed that he wished to serve Kilika as he saw her power when overcoming all the obstacles he had prepared.However when they were about to shake hands, Kilika sensed murder intent in him and barely escaped death as everything was a farce. Dagon showed his true colors while revealing his ace card but he himself could not foresaw what happened next. Akutagawa Kilika was so much stronger than he predicted and he met his demise that day.Kilika absorbed Dagon's power and it somehow made her able to access more of His Majesty's power. She then decided to use Dagon's corpse along with several other overseers and conducted a ritual. She created a perfect overseer body, stronger than any other overseers in exception of the sins and move the soul inside her to that body. In short, she revived Simca Akutagawa, as an overseer that is on par with a member of the round Table.The two returned to Akaishi mountain and were determined to fix the Akutagawa residence. The place was even in worse condition than before but after years of hard work and doing mercenary works to fund the restoration of the residence, it finally finished in 7 years.It might be a short journey compared to what the two had been through but it was the most satisfying thing the two could ever do. Eventually, they reopened the Akutagawa school and became the master of more or less 30 students in the year 1715.There were many students who questioned the master of the school. They never age and only several of the closest disciples knew about their immortality. Eventually, people started to regard the master of the Akutagawa school as a pair of sages.

The Next Move

As all the Seven Deadly Sins bearer had finally gathered, with a really big sigh, Kilika could finally discuss their next move. Being the first one to arrive on earth with quite a big gap between the Akutagawa sisters and the others made her the one with the most experience in dealing with Filth and Overseers.While summoning the other five took time, the 7 finally gathered in the residence of the Akutagawa family which Kilika usually forbids anyone except her servants to enter, including the other Sins but that time was an exception.The first topic that Kilika touched was that she allowed the 6 of them to do anything they pleased. She also gave them the freedom to make their own space in the Akutagawa territory in the mountain as long as they stay away from her and Simca's home.The second topic was about the Round Table, an existence above ordinary Overseers and the people that have the ability to actually kill them all. Kilika said that she met one of them in the past and managed to kill said Round Table but she expect the other would be stronger than him and facing them without her with their own power would still be difficult to achieve.The third topic was about a very strange movement of Overseers located in Nagoya. When asked what was strange about those particular Overseers, Kilika explained that those people seemed to deliberately cause chaos in a lot of cities and Nagoya was next. While usually, it would not be their problem, Kilika further explained that their activities have caused Kegare explosion in the area which they would eliminate not long after." They basically created strong Kegare to pop out and kill them to absorb their energy and they continuously do it across Japan. They are definitely planning something so we are going to confront them and when I said we, I mean all of you except me. "Of course, the order caused some of the other Sins to voice their complaint but Kilika said that she will be handling the big guy and they need them to handle the small fries. Without any further explanation, Kilika clapped her hands and told them to move out which strangely enough, the other six obeyed.

Project Sariel

The Sin of Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, and Lust set out to Nagoya where the group of Overseers seemed to continue their mysterious plan. Unexpectedly they were greeted by a wild-looking man who introduced himself as an Overseer General named Hound. A lot more overseers appeared and put a barrier to the perimeter, creating a perfect arena between the Sins against the overseers.The battle commenced for a while, even when the Sins were supposed to be overwhelmingly powerful with their power range, they have yet to learn to fight together which created a perfect hole for the army of Overseers who had excellent synergy. Some of them are also unexpectedly powerful as well.As powerful as they were individuals, The sins were being cornered, those overseers had several healers and buffers which made their fighters able to actually go hand to hand with them.In the end, there were only Gluttony and Envy left fighting about 100 overseers including Hound himself as the other four sins were knocked out.Hound said that they had no chance of winning against them without Akutagawa Kilika but his theory was proven wrong as the Sin of Wrath emerged back and became even stronger than before.“Don’t take us lightly just because our babysitter is not here!”Wrath turned his gaze upon the defeated ones and tell them to get up as he could not bear if Kilika were to see them in such a pathetic state, she would laugh at them for weeks. Wrath's words made them all stand up, beat up but all of them still looked ready and going.Hound could not believe what happened and in panic, ordered one of the overseers to use ‘Sariel' to him. The Overseers showed a strange device which was called Sariel, the device shot a beam of light at Hound and the Overseer turned into a giant white wolf with 4 black humanoid hands in addition to its 4 legs.Wrath said that she will handle the dog alone and let the other five handle the rest of the overseers behind him which also increased in number because of all the heals by the healer overseers.For a moment the others seemed to be against the idea of Evelynn facing Hound by himself but he said that his anger was on the top so he would beat the dog herself.A battle commence which at first was in the overseer's favor but sooner or later, the Sins managed to actually work together, putting aside their style differences and defeating most of the overseers.Meanwhile, Wrath started to get in trouble as Hound was more than just a big weird wolf. He was able to use a restraining technique which reduces the damage output that Wrath gave to him and no matter how angry they was if their power was reduced to half, it would not be enough.As the other sins came to help Wrath in defeating Hound, they were blasted away by a third party. The third-party revealed herself as Artemis, an even higher level of Overseer above Hound which was part of the Round Table, strong overseers that Kilika told them about.Artemis said that the fight was meaningless, detained Hound in a single hit, and then threatened to kill the sins if they were to make any move. Artemis said that she wanted to speak with Akutagawa Kilika and thus after banishing the armies of Overseers, Artemis march toward Akaishi Mountain.

Ragnarok 7

Artemis and Kilika had a face-to-face talk in a private room in Kilika's residence, away from the other sins who she ordered to wait outside the residence.Kilika asked why she did not kill them, seeing that she possessed the power to do so but Artemis answered that killing the 7 sins would not be the answer.Artemis explained just how powerful The Majesty was and that there was no way that a newborn Overseer like Kilika despite her power as the Sin of Pride would be able to kill him.She said that there had to be a reason for The Majesty’s act and that the man was now residing deep inside Kilika, waiting for something.If she were to kill Kilika then she would potentially kill the old man as well and that would be very bad. She also said that from all the seven members of the round table, only herself and another one that trusted that The Majesty was still alive and told Kilika that she would not be able to help if the other five made a move to kill the seven.Kilika said that she did not need any help since she killed one named Dagon long ago alone which surprised Artemis because, from the realm, Dagon only left for 4 weeks. The time and space between the 2 realms were too far it seemed.Artemis pointed out how easy it would be to annihilate her team with the use of Project Sariel which the Overseers had been creating to oppose them.Before leaving, Artemis said that she and the other sins had yet unlocked their full potential and if they wanted to survive for the next storm coming, they better mastered their power before the other members of the Round Table came after them.Afterward, Kilika called the other sins and the Sin of Pride told the others about Artemis’ warning which each of them responded differently.Envy said that they should heed Artemis’ warning and find a way to get stronger which Kilika pointed out that most of them were weak as fuck and too dependent on their power as an Overseer.Sloth said that he was not weak but then Kilika told him to fight Lust, one on one without using his overseer power, and he got defeated quite easily. The fight between Sloth and Lust proved enough that using their power without proper understanding and strategy would not be enough to fight a powerful opponent.Sloth pointed out that Kilika was also dependent on her blood power but then unexpectedly Greed told the Sin of Sloth that Kilika’s blood power required a crazy amount of focus and determination to master and someone like Sloth would probably go crazy in the first 10 seconds so Kilika would be an exception.There was a long silence afterward but then Kilika broke the silence by saying that they would undergo intense training under her but before that, she said that she would take all of them on a short vacation, to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Epilogue

The Seven Sin who Kilika decided to name as Ragnarok 7, the one who slays Gods, which refers to how the seven of them would annihilate every single Overseer coming from them took a vacation trip to Honolulu.Kilika dreamt about a certain figure that she met in the past. A very frightening figure which causes her to train her power endlessly every single day for hundred of years.The figure looked at her in the dream, calling her name as if challenging her. Kilika awakened from her sleep with cold sweat as she recalled her experience with Simca.Kilika asked whether she would be able to defeat that creature at her current state but Simca said that in order to kill the most powerful Omen, Echidna, she had to rely on the other Sins as well.Kilika said that they were not strong enough which Simca simply said with a smile," Then train them, to make them as strong as your expectation. When we achieved the top, we no longer have anything to fear. "
